How do I set up my wine journal? / How do I create a free account?
At the top of every page of the CorkSavvy website, there is text that reads, "New User? Sign up ". Click on the small Sign Up text link -- which takes you to this page. Fill out the form on the "Create your account now" page and press the "Create my account now" button. You should receive an email from CorkSavvy.com with registration information. Click the activation link in the e-mail and on the Welcome page, press "Click here to get started" text link. Your account is now configured. You can add new content to your account by clicking on My Cellar in the global header at the top of every page.
I didn't get an e-mail from CorkSavvy, what should I do now?
Give it a few minutes; sometimes messages take a few minutes to show up in your inbox. Also, some spam filters may accidentally flag our activation message as junk mail. Check your "Spam" or "Junk Mail" folder to see if it ended up there. (You can add noreply@corksavvy.com to your address book or white list to prevent this from happening in the future.)
How do I upload pictures from the web?
Log into your account. Click on the My Cellar link in the global navigation at the top of every page. Then click on the "+ NEW JOURNAL ENTRY" button on the top right side of the page. Fill out the form and when you are done, click on the browse button inside the Upload Images section towards the bottom of the page. Search for the image on your computer's hard drive and double-click it's name which should return you to the Add a New Journal Entry page. Click on "Save this entry" button at the bottom of the page. You can add multiple images to each Journal entry.
You can also upload wine label images to bottles in your Bottle Rack. To do so, click on the My Cellar link in the global navigation at the top of every page. Then click on the "+ NEW BOTTLE" button on the top right side of the page. Click on the "Click here to enter a bottle yourself" text link and fill out the form on the "Add New Bottle" page. When you are done, click on the browse button inside the Images section towards the bottom of the page. Search for the image on your computer's hard drive and double-click it's name which should return you to the Add New Bottle page. Click on the "Save this vintage" button at the bottom of the page. You can add multiple images to each Bottle entry.
How do I upload pictures from my mobile phone?
Snap a photo of the wine bottle label using a camera phone. Email the photo to mycellar@corksavvy.com adding a description like "Crisp, Fruity, and Delicious". Log into your personalized CorkSavvy My Cellar account where you can add further descriptions, arrange photos, and catalogue entries. All of your email submissions will appear in your wine Journal when you log in.
The website knowingly recognizes email addresses and automatically submits photos in users' virtual wine journals. As a way for anyone and everyone to partake, the CorkSavvy.com website creates personal accounts for those who haven’t already signed up with a first photo submission. If you don't already have an account, log-in to Cork Savvy using your email address as your user name and password.
How do I change my password?
Log into your account. Click on the small "Edit Profile" text link in the global navigation at the top of every page. On the Edit Account page, enter the same password into the two fields and hit the "Save my account now" button.
Can my account accept photos from more than one email address?
Yes, your account can accept submissions from as many email addresses as you would like. Click on the small "Edit Profile" text link in the global navigation at the top of every page. On the "Edit your account now" page, at the bottom, click on the Add Alternate Email text link. Enter in a new email address and click the Add button.
How do I submit questions to Ask CorkSavvy to be answered by your editorial team?

Where can I buy wine on the site?
At this time CorkSavvy.com does not currently sell wine. If you are trying to find a specific wine from a specific winery, you can try searching for winery in our Vineyard section. If the winery is in our databasethen you can click on the link to visite the winery's website which will probably have information on where you can buy their wine. You could also fill out the contact form at their website or send them an email asking them for more information on where you can buy their wines in your area.
How do I write articles for the site or submit ideas for articles?

How do I submit events to the Event Calendar?
Users can submit their own events to the Event Calendar. To do so, go here and fill out all of the fields on the form. Don't forget to choose a Start and End date on the left side before you hit the Submit button.

We would be honored to share links with your wine-related site. If your wine site is appropriate we will add them to our links page. There is a link at the bottom of every page on our site which links to it. All we ask is that you add a recipricol link to your site pointing to CorkSavvy.com. How do I associate a Journal article with a bottle of wine?
Log in to your user account and click on My Cellar in the global navigation all the way at the top of the page. Then click on the Journal link in the sub-navigation near the top of the page which will take you to the My Wine Journal page. Click on any Journal entry to view it's details. On this page, there is a text link near the top of the page that says, "This entry isn't associated with a bottle yet. Link to a bottle now." When you click on this link you will be given the opportunity to search for a wine bottle which you have already added to your virtual Bottle Rack to associate with your journal entry.
How do I sort my bottle rack?
Log in to your user account and click on My Cellar in the global navigation all the way at the top of the page. Then click on the Bottles link in the sub-navigation near the top of the page which will take you to your Bottle Rack. On this page, there are text links near the top of the page on the right side that say, "Sort By Date Added, Name and Varietal". Just click on one of these three links to sort using one of those methods. Tip: To view more bottles on the page at one time, click the "View as list" text link near the top left of the Bottle Rack page.
How do I download bottle rack data to my computer?
Log in to your user account and click on My Cellar in the global navigation all the way at the top of the page. Then click on the Bottles text link in the sub-navigation near the top of the page which will take you to your Bottle Rack. On this page, there is a text link near the top right of the page that says, "Export as CSV." When you click on this link you will be given options to save your bottle rack to your local computer. Most database and spreadsheet applications can open up standard CSV files. CSV is standard format used to store tabular data, which uses a Comma to Separate Values.
How do I email a journal article to my friend?
Log in to your user account and click on My Cellar in the global navigation all the way at the top of the page. Then click on the Journal link in the sub-navigation near the top of the page which will take you to the "My Wine Journal" page. Click on any Journal entry to view it's details. On this page, there is a text link near the top right of the page that says, "Send to a friend." When you click on this link you will be given options to send your journal entry to your friend.
How do I delete a bottle from my bottlerack?
We usually suggest that our users uncork their wines rather than delete them because this way you have a record of what wines you liked/disliked/consumed. When you delete the bottle you no longer have any record of it. But if you accidentally added a wine and no longer want it in your winerack follow these steps. Log in to your user account and click on My Cellar in the global navigation all the way at the top of the page. Then click on the "Bottles" link towards the top left of the page. Click on the title of the wine you would like to delete which will allow you to view the details of that wine. You do NOT want to edit the wine bottle you want to preview it. You could also press the magnifying glass icon to get to the preview page. At the top right of the wine bottle preview screen there is a text link to EDIT or DELETE the bottle. Press Delete.
How do I share my Wine Journal entries or Wines from my Bottle Rack with my friends and family?
To share journal entries or wines with others you first need to make them public. To do this, log in to your user account and click on My Cellar in the global navigation all the way at the top of the page. Then click on the Journals or Bottle link near the top of the screen depending on which type of entry you want to make public. Then click on the Edit icon (it's a small icon of a box with a pencil in it) on the far right side of the Journal/Bottle entry. At the bottom of the page to the left of the Save button, is a check box entitled "Make this entry private". Make sure it is NOT checked then click the Save button, which will take you to the confirmation/preview entry page. On the top right side of the Journal entry page is a "Send to a friend" icon which will allow you to invite your friends and family to read your journal entries. If you want to share Wine bottles with people you need to use our Corksavvy Facebook application, which allows you to share Wine Journal entries and Wines with your friends and family.
